HIKING ON BJELASICA MOUNTAIN

According to many people, Bjelasica mountain is the most beautiful Montenegrin mountain. It is 30 km long and is located in the heart of Montenegro, in the central part of the country. It is suitable for hiking, and even its highest tops are accessible. Also, it is abundant with forest, as well as running water. Go hiking on Bjelasica mountain, visit it's highest peak  Crna glava and it's stunning lakes.

HIKING ON BJELASICA MOUNTAIN

PEŠIĆ LAKE - CRNA GLAVA PEAK - URSULOVAČKO LAKE

  • We start from the katun Pešića Rupa.
  • Pešić lake - located in one of the largest cirques on Bjelasica, in the area between its highest tops: Crna Glava (2139), Zekova Glava (2116) and Belil (2059).
  • Lake Pešić is 290 m wide, and its maximum width is around 165 m, with the average depth of the lake around 3 m.
  • Crna Glava peak (2139 mnv) - the highest peak of Bjelasica mountain with phenomenal views of the mountains around us.
  • Ursulovačko lake (1895 mnv) - it is 175 m long and 90 m wide, of glacial origin. Due to the lack of vegetation and rocky bottom, the water is very clear. It serves as a watering hole for cattle.
