Do your tours include international airfare?

Our prices do not include international airfare. Please contact us if you need any help or assistance with booking your flights, our team will be happy to help.

Can you book airplane tickets for us?

Can you help arrange my travel visas?

Requirements for travel visas vary widely depending on your country of origin and your destination. If you do require a visa, you should make arrangements with a travel agent or visa processing company.

Are airport transfers included?

It depends what service you are booking with us. Please take a detailed look at the itinerary described on our website, it is clearly stated what is/ isn’t included.

What type of ground transportation is used on your tours?

Tour-specific information on transportation can be found in each trip agenda, but in most cases we use private transportation. Depending on the size of your group, we will use a van or bus.

Is Montengero a safe place to travel, particularly for solo passengers?

Montenegro is a safe place for everyone! You will notice that local people are very inviting, always willing to help, share information and assist you in need.

Is English widely spoken?

Most people in Montenegro have at least basic knowledge and understanding of English language. The younger generations speak English very well in most places.

What clothing should I pack for one of your adventures?

Appropriate clothing for your tour will vary widely depending on where and when you are traveling. Each tour description will include all details allowing you to prepare properly. Always recommended: a light jacket, sturdy shoes, sun protection and a cap.

What vaccinations are recommended for this adventure?

It’s important that you receive the most accurate and up-to-date travel health information for the region you will be visiting. You should visit a qualified medical practitioner for advice or see a specialist at a Travel Health clinic.

Can I book extra nights of accommodation before or after my tour?

Yes, in most cases we can arrange additional accommodation. Please contact us for such requests.

How many people can join a tour?

Most of the activities will include small groups up to 10 people maximum, but sometimes you will also be alone with the guide depending on the day. The number of people depends on the type of tour you book, but we keep the groups small to ensure every guests enjoys enough attention from the guide, Check the individual experience itineraries for maximum group size.

 

What are the age restrictions on your tours?

To travel independently you must be at least 18 years of age. There are no upper age limits for our tours as long as you are in good health. Travelers with pre-existing medical conditions are required to complete a medical questionnaire. Our standard adventures are open to children aged 12 years or older when accompanied by a parent (max. 3 children per adult). 

What currency is required?

Montenegro uses Euro as currrency.

Can I use card?

Yes – cards are usually accepted, but not everywhere – particularly in the mountains. For this reason, it is best to carry some cash at all times.

Is tipping included and if not, how much should I budget for?

Tips are not included in the tour price and tipping is entirely at your discretion. In the Balkans, leaving a tip is not rule, but a goodwill gesture, and the custom is to give back around 10% of the bill.

Can I drive in Montenegro?

Yes, anyone with a drivers license can drive in Montenegro.

What does it cost to eat in a restaurant in Montenegro?

The average price per lunch in a restaurant is from 10 to 15 euros. Beer is around 2€ and coffee 1,5€.

What's the weather like in Montenegro?

Montenegro is located in south-east Europe so the weather is usually nice and sunny during summer. The average temperature reaches up to 35 Celsius degrees (95 degrees Fahrenheits) witch makes it perfect weather for the beach and for those who find it too hot can escape in the mountains for a hike.

Which credit card can i use for online payment?

On BalkanAdventure website you can use Visa, Mastercard and Maestro card.

Can we change our travel dates?

Any changes to a booking depend on availability and are subject to the Tour Operator’s approval and tour terms and conditions.

Does the tour still go out in case of bad weather conditions?

No, we can change dates in case of bad weather, or give you a refund if you are not available on those new dates.

Do i need travel insurance?

We recommend you to get comprehensive repatriation insurance in your home country before you come to Montenegro. If you don’t have insurance contact us at info@balkanadventure.me and we will take care of it.

What is your cancellation policy?

All cancellations from customers should be notified via email to The Tour Operator. Cancellation fees will be determined with reference to the date on which notice of cancellation is received by the Tour Operator and are expressed as a percentage of the total price paid for the canceled Tour, product or service (excluding any insurance products where refund is not allowed).

How far in advance should i book?

We advice you to book a tour the sooner the better to make sure your dates are available. Anyway, our team is always available to contact and will do it’s best to provide the requested activities or tours even if the request comes in late.

Can i make a special request regarding the tour we book?

Yes you can add additional note when booking or contact us via email at info@balkaadventure.me requesting something and we’ll get back at you as soon as we can.

What's the best time to visit Montenegro?

Any time from May to October.

Can we choose few activities to do?

Yes you can request a tailor made tour, choosing few activities you’d like to try in Montenegro and we’ll make it a reality.
