Is Montengero a safe place to travel, particularly for solo passengers?

Of course, Montenegro is a very place safe to travel. Our country is famous as a tourist destination, with very kind people who are accustomed to seeing tourists and will always help in any way they can.

Our tour guides are English-speaking which covers you during the tours. That aside, most locals and younger generations have a very good working knowledge of English which should not pose you any difficulties when getting around.

What is the most appropriate type of luggage to bring?

We strongly recommend bringing a backpack or duffel bag, as suitcases can be cumbersome and difficult to store in buses, under seats, etc. Keep in mind that you will normally have to carry your own luggage on and off buses and trains and up and down accommodation staircases. Suitcases with wheels may not work well on dirt or cobblestone roads.

What clothing should I pack for one of your adventures?

We always recommend packing as light as possible, however the specific requirements for your tour will vary widely depending on where and when you are traveling. Each tour description will include all details allowing you to prepare properly.

What vaccinations are recommended for this adventure?

It’s important that you receive the most accurate and up-to-date travel health information for the region you will be visiting. You should visit a qualified medical practitioner for advice or see a specialist at a Travel Health clinic.

Can I book extra nights of accommodation before or after my tour?

Yes, in most cases we can arrange additional accommodation. Please contact us for such requests.

How many people can join a tour?

We keep our group sizes low to medium so you have the freedom to move around and get involved with your surroundings, as well as get more one-on-one attention from our guides. Intimate group size ensures that your experience will not be crowded. Check the individual experience itineraries for maximum group size.

What are the age restrictions on your tours?

To travel independently you must be at least 18 years of age. There are no upper age limits for our tours as long as you are in good health. Travelers with pre-existing medical conditions are required to complete a medical questionnaire. Our standard adventures are open to children aged 12 years or older when accompanied by a parent (max. 3 children per adult).

What currency is required?

Montenegro uses Euro as currrency.

Can I use card?
