Also called the "accursed mountains", Prokletije National Park is the youngest national park in Montenegro, founded in 2009, located on the territory of the municipalities of Plav and Gusinje. This multi day tour to Prokletije is created to offer you an adventurous but yet easy and convenient way of exploring the best sights throughout this amazing national park. You will soon notice how underrated Prokletije are comparing to how much they offer.
We will go on a jeep tour to the highest located lake in Montenegro, the lake of luck - Hrid, go hiking in the picturesque Grebaje valley and witness the best views over the Prokletije mountain range - also called the Balkan Alps, in 4 days (3 nights).
Meeting in Podgorica and transfer to Plav. In Plav we take some time to visit its main attraction - lake Plav, the biggest glacial lake in Montenegro. We will also visit the unique Ethnographic Museum Redžepagića Kula. After Plav we head towards Gusinje and the beautiful alpine valley Ropojana. On our way, we will stop to visit Ali-paša's springs and have lunch. On arrival to Ropojana valley, we will have free time and a relaxing hike to the famous Skakavac (Grasshopper) waterfall. Check in at the accommodation.
The second day is reserved for the famous Grebaje valley and the most popular and beloved hiking tour of this region - the circular panorama tour to Volušnica (1879m), Talijanka (2057m) and Popadija (2056m) peaks. This hiking trail is visited by a large number of nature lovers and hikers from around the world and is visited even by families with children. It won't take too long until you realize why this hike is considered as one of the most beautiful Prokletije hiking tours with best views over the surrounding peaks of Prokletije massif. The hike lasts around 5-6 hours so considers medium physical condition. The hike can also be replaced or done in a shorter version according to your desire. Lunch and resting time in the afternoon.
Our third day starts early after breakfast, as we head towards Plav for an unforgettable jeep tour to one of the most beautiful lakes of Montenegro. Lake Hrid, also called the "lake of luck", is the highest lake in our country, located 1970m above sea level. As this path is only accessible by off-road vehicles, it will be a real adventure reaching the lake. You will have time to walk around, take photos and hear about the lake, local traditions and life in this region. Lunch and departure back to accommodation.
