General info

Via ferratas offer unparalleled access to terrain and views that are otherwise unreachable. A via ferrata is a secured hiking trail that crosses steep and exposed mountain sections with the help of fixed steel cables, metal steps and anchors. It is suitable for both professional alpinists and adventurous beginners, as long as a basic level of physical fitness is met.

Via Ferrata Durmitor is an exciting and safe climbing experience located on Uvita Greda, one of the most scenic ridges in Durmitor National Park. Just 30 minutes from Žabljak, and only a 10-minute walk from Sedlo, this route is a perfect choice for anyone looking to add a dose of adrenaline to their mountain holiday—without needing advanced climbing skills.

The ferrata starts at an altitude of 2,000 m and ends at 2,198 m, offering breathtaking panoramic views over the Durmitor massif, forests, valleys and high mountain landscapes. The experience usually lasts around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the group’s pace and weather conditions. With professional guidance and full safety equipment, the tour remains secure, enjoyable and unforgettable from start to finish.

The best season for this tour is from June to October, when the rock is dry and visibility is at its best. Many guests also combine the climb with a drive along the famous Durmitor Ring for a full day of spectacular views and adventure.

Experience magnificent views of the stunning Durmitor massif!
