NP DURMITOR IN ONE DAYBest of Durmitor National Park in one day

Meeting in Budva and Podgorica as we start our journey to Žabljak, situated at an altitude of 1,456 metres, making it the highest situated town on Balkan peninsula. The drive from Podgorica takes about 2 hours. Guests staying in Žabljak can join the tour from there. Arriving at Durmitor National Park, we head to its most visited lake -  Black Lake, and take a walk around the educational trail around the lake. The path is about 3.5km long and is suitable for everyone. There are some stairs and it’s rocky in places, so we recommend comfortable shoes.

When it comes to Durmitor National Park, there is no end with spectacular views wherever you look around. Our next stop will be a special one - Đurđevića Tara bridge above Tara canyon. Tara canyon is the second deepest canyon in the world and takes pride in being on the UNESCO’s list of protected areas in the “Man and Biosphere” program from 1977 because of its diverse flora and fauna. The Tara bridge stands gloriously 172 m above the Tara river and was built from 1938 to 1940 to connect the two sides of Tara canyon. Here, you can try the fastest zip line in Europe - zip line above Tara, for an additional cost.

A traditional lunch will be enjoyed with great views and natural ambient. Various traditional dishes and local rakija can be tasted to relax and soak up all the beautiful moments and views before we head back to Podgorica. Departure to Podgorica is planned around 18:00h.
