This package is perfect for everyone who seeks to find out why Montenegro is called "Little Switzerland". We will take you to the most beautiful places in the northern parts of this little but stunning country.
You will get the chance to visit some less known destinations that will take your breath away but at the same time you will enjoy more peace in the less crowded and touristic surroundings. Emerge yourself in the natural richness of Montenegro's north!
Our first day starts with a drive from Podgorica to the charming town of Plužine at the edge of Piva lake, the largest artificial lake in Montenegro. Piva lake is the heart of Piva nature part, known for its outstanding natural beauty and hence protected by the country. On arrival we will have a relaxing boat tour across the lake, to witness the beautiful surroundings with a chance to swim during the break. Lunch time and additional option to try the longest zipline in Montenegro. Check-in at the accommodation.
Breakfast and departure to Šćepan polje, the start of our rafting adventure. The rafting tour is 18 km long and takes about 6 hours. We end up with a delicious lunch on the terrace with magnificent views over Tara which has the second deepest canyon in the world! We continue to Žabljak for overnight.
The third day is reserved for the main attraction of Durmitor National park - the Black lake as well as the peak with probably the best views - Crvena greda. We will start with a hiking tour to Crvena greda (2164 masl.), an easy accessible peak with breathtaking views over Žabljak, Black lake, Vražje lake and different peaks of the Durmitor massif. On our way back we will have lunch and a relaxing visit to Black lake. Free evening time.
Breakfast and check-out. We head to the famous Đurđevića Tara bridge for a photo stop and additional option to try the zipline over the second deepest canyon in the world! We continue to National park Biogradska gora, the last remaining virgin rainforest in Europe. Here, we will also visit the picturesque Biogradsko lake which is also under protection. Lunch and overnight in Kolašin.
According to many people, Bjelasica is the most beautiful Montenegrin mountain. This Bjelasica hiking tour is a circular tour to the most beautiful parts of Bjelasica mountain massif. We start from Katun Suvodo and hike along the circular route toward Šiško lake and beautiful katuns as well as natural landscapes of this region. We will enjoy a picnic in this outstanding environment before heading back to Kolašin.
Breakfast and check-out. We will have a 2 hour drive to Plav. Here, we will visit the largest glacial lake in Montenegro and the charming town of Plav. After the visit we head on a jeep adventure to Hridsko lake, considered as one of the most beautiful lakes of Montenegro and the one located at the highest altitude. Back to Plav for lunch and check-in.
The last day is dedicated to exploring the youngest national park in Montenegro, Prokletije, also called the "Balkan Alps". This region is gaining popularity in the recent years as more and more nature lovers and hikers from around the world discover this paradise. We will visit the alpine valley Grebaje, from where we will start with our panoramic hiking tour to Volušnica (1879m), Talijanka (2057m) and Popadija (2056m) peaks. The time for the ascent is about 3 hours and ends at Grebaje again. Amaying panoramas are guaranteed! The hiking tour can be modified and shortened if needed. Dinner and overnight.
