General info

Via ferrata is a secured hiking trail that allows you to cross otherwise inaccessible areas, steep mountain slopes and rocky terrain with the help of fixed steel cables, iron steps and safety anchors. It is suitable for both experienced climbers and adventurous beginners, although a basic level of physical fitness and comfort with heights is required.

The Kotor Via Ferrata is located in the immediate vicinity of the Old Town, only 250 m from the “River Gate” (North Gate). The entire adventure lasts around 2 hours, making it a perfect short but unforgettable activity during your stay in Kotor.

The route is approximately 200 m long and rises to about 150 m in height, graded from moderately difficult to difficult. Along the way, there are two resting benches where you can take a break, catch your breath, and capture amazing photos. From the ferrata you’ll enjoy panoramic views over the Old Town of Kotor, the Bay of Kotor, the Port of Kotor, and even the historic Austrian road to Cetinje.

We promise this will be an experience to remember!
