BEST OF MONTENEGRO IN 7 DAYS

THE BEST OF MONTENEGRO IN ONE TOUR - RAFTING, VIA FERRATA, BOAT TOUR AND MANY MORE!

Often described as the Pearl of the Balkans, Montenegro is a small country with an extraordinary concentration of natural beauty and cultural heritage. Within a very compact area, travelers can experience the Adriatic Sea and dramatic coastline, medieval towns, scenic islands, deep river canyons, glacial lakes, dense primeval forests, and impressive mountain massifs, making it possible to explore the entire country in a relatively short time without long and exhausting transfers.

If you are not sure what to see or do in Montenegro and you are looking for a true “all-in-one” experience, this tour is an ideal choice. This seven-day journey showcases the country’s most iconic regions, starting in the stunning coastal town of Kotor, continuing through the peaceful landscapes of Skadar Lake, and leading north into the spectacular mountain areas of Durmitor and Biogradska gora. Throughout the tour, guests enjoy a carefully balanced mix of activities, from white-water rafting and via ferrata climbing to scenic boat tours, cultural sightseeing, and tasting authentic local cuisine, creating a complete and authentic overview of Montenegro in one unforgettable journey.

Overview of the tour

Day 1 - Kotor

Meeting in Kotor. We will drop our luggage at the hotel and head on a 3-hour private speed boat tour to Perast, once the maritime center of this region. We will have a stop at the island in front - The Lady of the Rocks, famous for its interesting history and one of the most beautiful catholic churches in coastal Montenegro. We will take a short tour to the church, a visit to the museum is optional. The speed boat will take us inside the submarine tunnels, dating from World War II and then we will have a swim in the famous Blue cave. After check-in we are going to discover Kotor on a walking tour along the old town with visits to its most important sightseeing points: The Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas, the Catholic Cathedral of St. Tryphon, the Maritime Museum and the multiple squares (called "pijacete"), each of which has its own story. Dinner time in one of the local restaurants.

Our fifth day is reserved for the "Tear of Europe", also the second deepest canyon in the world.  The Tara River Canyon is up to 1,330m deep, and is a part of UNESCO World Heritage Sites since 1980. We will start the day with a half hour drive to Đurđevića Tara where our rafting adventure begins. The rafting tour along Tara canyon will take about 4 hours and is 30 km long. Each raft is accompanied by a licensed guide to navigate and coach participants. All necessary rafting and safety equipment is provided, including sterilized neoprene wetsuits and boots, a safety helmet and life vest. A well deserved lunch at the camp will be the perfect time to sum up our impressions before we continue towards the famous Đurđevića Tara bridge to admire the canyon from a different perspective. Here, the brave ones can try the longest zip line in Europe. Back to Žabljak.
