General info

Take a panoramic boat tour through the breathtaking Bay of Kotor (Boka Bay) — often called Europe’s southernmost fjord and listed among the 25 most beautiful bays in the world.

Enjoy a relaxing cruise filled with spectacular coastal views, calm turquoise waters, and fascinating maritime history as you explore the best of the bay in comfort and style. One of the highlights of this tour is a speedboat ride to the famous Blue Cave, the largest sea cave on the Luštica Peninsula. It gets its name from the magical blue glow created when sunlight hits the sandy bottom and reflects through the crystal-clear water, turning the entire cave into a shimmering blue chamber — perfect for swimming and snorkeling. This private boat tour also includes visits to the charming baroque town of Perast and the hidden Submarine Tunnels, mysterious WWII-era shelters carved into the cliffs. A perfect mix of nature, history, and unforgettable sea moments — all at your own pace.

Overview of the tour

BOKA BAY BOAT TOURS

PRIVATE BOKA BAY CRUISE

  • Meeting in Kotor
  • 45 min ride with splendid panoramic views of the Kotor bay - on the way we will pass near some recognizable landmarks like St. Mateus church and the Temple of Our Lady.
  • Blue Cave - 30 minutes break for swimming and photo session. Blue Cave is a natural cave on  Luštica Peninsula, created at the bottom of a 100m cliff. It’s called the Blue Cave because the way the light hits the sandy bottom and reflects up through the water makes the whole cave look blue and makes swimming inside an unforgettable experience!
  • Panoramic views of Mamula island - this island is famous for its fortress built in 1852 by the Austrian navy. The fortress was used as a notorious prison during the First and Second World War. Now it is converted into a 5 Star resort.
  • Former military submarine tunnels - used for hiding and repairing submarines.
  • Our Lady of the Rocks - 30 minutes visit to this artificial island made in the XV century. The islet was made over the centuries by local seamen who kept an ancient oath after finding the icon of Madonna and Child on the rock in the sea on 22 July 1452. Upon returning from each successful voyage, they laid a rock in the Bay. Over time, the islet gradually emerged from the sea.
There is a church and a museum. The present church was built by Venetians in 1630 and it houses numerous works of art made by the famous local painter Tripo Kokolja as well as numerous silver and gold plates – gifts from seamen as a token of gratitude.
The museum includes a special curiosity - a unique tapestry hand made by Jacinta Kunić-Mijović. The tapestry took over 25 years to complete and is partially made from her own hair!
  • Panorama of Perast - a historical maritime town, famous for it’s Clock Tower built in 1713, at that time one of the tallest one Europe.
