Big and Small Škrčko lakes are located in the center of Durmitor National Park at an altitude of 1700-1730 m above sea level. Take a hike to the Škrčka lakes among the highest and most inaccessible water surfaces in the Durmitor National Park.

Škrčka lakes are surrounded by mountain peaks on three sides, one of them being the highest in Montenegro - Bobotov Kuk. They are often called "Green lakes" because of their greenish color.

These exceptionally beautiful glacial lakes, hidden among the peaks of the Durmitor Mountain, will leave you speechless!

Dobri do - we pack our equipment and start the tour. The starting point of this tour is at an altitude of 1800 m. We continue on a hike over the ridge (Škrčko Ždrijelo) at 2100 meters above sea level. For those who truly love hiking and nature, this will be a unique experience!
From this ridge we will descend to 1686 m, reaching a mountain lodge and Big Škrčko Lake. The trail leading to Škrčko Lake cuts across an impressive landscape of rolling knolls surrounded by high peaks. The landscape of Škrčko Lake with its greenish color and pristine nature will surpass all your expectations, and evoke all the beauty hidden by Durmitor National Park.
