NP DURMITOR ONE DAY TOUR

This  adventure to explore the best parts of Durmitor National Park starts with a convenient meeting at your chosen location or accommodation. Our guides will greet you and provide a brief overview of the day ahead, including highlights of the tour and essential details for your comfort and safety.

We start our journey to Žabljak, situated at an altitude of 1,456 metres, making it the highest situated town on Balkan peninsula. The drive includes beautiful scenery along the way. On arrival at Durmitor National Park, we head to its most visited site -  Black Lake. Join your guide on a walk along the educational trail around the lake (lasting 1 hour) and have 1 additional hour free time on your own. The path is about 3.5 km long and is suitable for everyone. There are some stairs and it’s rocky in places, so we recommend comfortable shoes.

When it comes to Durmitor National Park, there is no end with spectacular views wherever you look around. Our next stop will be a special one - Đurđevića Tara bridge above Tara canyon. Tara canyon is the second deepest canyon in the world and takes pride in being on the UNESCO’s list of protected areas in the “Man and Biosphere” program from 1977 because of its diverse flora and fauna. The Tara bridge stands gloriously 172 m above the Tara river and was built from 1938 to 1940 to connect the two sides of Tara canyon. Here, you can try the fastest zip line in Europe - zip line above Tara, for an additional cost (payable in cash).

As the day draws to a close, we’ll embark on the return journey along the same stunning route, giving you one final opportunity to soak in the landscapes of Durmitor National Park.
