GUIDED TOUR
Crvena Greda Peak is one of the most popular and most rewarding easy hikes in Durmitor National Park, perfect for beginners, families, and anyone looking for a scenic half-day adventure near Žabljak. The trail combines everything that makes Durmitor special: fresh mountain air, peaceful pine forests, beautiful glacial lakes, and wide-open viewpoints with unforgettable panoramas.
The hike starts from Bosača (1,740 m), a quiet mountain area just above Žabljak, and follows a well-known route toward the summit of Crvena Greda (2,164 m). With an altitude difference of 424 m, this tour is considered light to medium difficulty, making it a great choice for guests who want a safe and comfortable hike without steep technical sections.
One of the highlights of this route is the visit to the picturesque Jablan Lake, one of the most charming spots in the area. As you leave the forest and reach the open viewpoints, you’ll enjoy stunning views over the lake and the Crvena Greda massif, while the trail continues gently uphill through pine curves along the edge of the slopes. Throughout the hike, you’ll have constant panoramic views of the Jezerska Plateau and Žabljak, and from the top you can admire some of Durmitor’s most famous peaks, including Savin Kuk, Šljeme, Bandijerna, Međed, Mina Božur, and Bobotov Kuk, along with many more dramatic mountain ridges surrounding the park.
