Overview of the tour

PRIVATE BOAT TOUR TO MAMULA ISLAND

HERCEG NOVI - BLUE CAVE - MAMULA - ŽANJIC BEACH

  • Cruising around the Mamula Island - constructed in the mid-19th century as a strategic defense fortification, Mamula Fortress was named after Austro-Hungarian General Lazar Mamula, who played an important role in its establishment.  The island's striking architecture and walls  symbolize the guardian of the Bay.
  • Discovering and swimming in the Blue Cave (20 min) - The Blue Cave gets its name from the surreal, glowing blue light that fills its interior. This natural phenomenon occurs when sunlight reflects off the sandy seabed and penetrates the clear waters of the cave.
  • Relax time at Zanjic Beach (30min) - Just enough time to explore or relax at the beach
  • Exploring Submarine Tunnels - The submarine tunnels, or “submarine pens,” were constructed during the mid-20th century as part of Yugoslavia’s coastal defense strategy. They were designed to shelter and conceal submarines and smaller naval vessels from enemy reconnaissance and airstrikes.
