Overview of the tour

Day 1 - Arrival to Žabljak

Meeting with your guide in Podgorica for a transfer to Žabljak, the gateway to Durmitor National Park. Upon arrival, we set out on a guided walking tour around the park’s main attraction – Black Lake. This is an easy, educational walk, rich in information about the national park, local wildlife, and geology, with several scenic viewpoints ideal for photography.

Lunch will be organized at one of the local restaurants, offering traditional Montenegrin cuisine. After lunch, check-in at the accommodation followed by free time in the evening to explore the town center or relax. Your guide will also provide a short briefing about the upcoming activities and practical tips to help you prepare for the next adventurous days.

Day 2 - Safari Jeep Tour “Durmitor Ring”

After breakfast, we set off on the Safari Jeep Tour “Durmitor Ring”, one of the most popular and scenic routes in Montenegro. This off-road adventure follows an 85 km circular road around the majestic Durmitor mountain massif, leading you deep into the unspoiled landscapes of Durmitor National Park.

Along the way, you will pass through authentic mountain villages, rolling highland pastures, and dramatic canyons, with stops at stunning panoramic viewpoints ideal for photography. The tour also includes visits to local households where you can taste and purchase homemade eco products, offering a true flavor of the region. Suitable for all ages and experience levels, this journey perfectly blends natural beauty, local culture, and relaxed adventure in a comfortable and enjoyable way.

Day 3 - Rafting on Tara River

The third day is reserved for a 4-hour rafting adventure on the Tara River. Pick-up at your accommodation is followed by a scenic half-hour drive to Đurđevića Tara Bridge, where your rafting adventure begins. The rafting tour through the spectacular Tara Canyon covers 30 km and lasts approximately four hours.

Each raft is led by a licensed guide who ensures safe navigation and provides instructions throughout the tour. All necessary rafting and safety equipment is included, such as sterilized neoprene wetsuits and boots, safety helmets, and life vests.

A well-deserved lunch at the riverside camp offers time to relax and share impressions before heading back. The crystal-clear water, powerful rapids, and towering canyon cliffs make this experience truly unforgettable for the whole family. For those seeking extra excitement, there is an optional chance to try the longest zip line in Europe at an additional cost before returning to Žabljak.

Day 4 - Hiking to Crvena greda (2164m)

Today we will hike to one of the most popular peaks in Durmitor National Park – Crvena Greda (2,164 m). This hike is considered light and rewarding, ending with spectacular panoramic views from the summit plateau. From the top, you can enjoy sweeping vistas of Žabljak, Vražje Lake, Black Lake, and numerous peaks of the Durmitor massif.

During the descent, we visit the peaceful and picturesque Jablan Lake, surrounded by alpine meadows and forest scenery. The trail offers a perfect balance of gentle terrain and impressive landscapes, making it ideal for families. Plenty of short breaks allow time for photos, rest, and enjoying the fresh mountain air. For guests who prefer an easier option, this hike can be replaced with a lighter walk from Black Lake to Jablan Lake, equally scenic and relaxing.

Day 5 - Departure

After check-out, departure to Podgorica or any other previously agreed location. By this point, we hope you have truly experienced the natural beauty of Durmitor National Park and the warm hospitality of the people from this region.
